I think you got it in a nutshell, @Angky. insofar as this was not a "candid camera" shot of a person unaware of being photographed, you could say this image is "posed". But there is nothing false or faked here - that is a real person looking, not back into the camera, but into us. That is such a natural, down to earth "Yes, this is me, here I am" expression you have captured.

The thing that stands out to me most in this photo is the smile wrinkles around the eyes and the slight mischievous look in the eyes. A look that is missed but not forgotten.

According to the label, this photo was taken with a Spotmatic.
One doesn't need the 'latest and greatest' to do good photography.
