Flume with a View

There's a new public walking trail near Golden, Colorado, at the mouth of Clear Creek canyon. In a creative masterstroke of trail design, they've adapted a restored 150-year-old irrigation flume as part of the path. This is one of the best places to see old-growth Douglas Fir timbers in the rocky lowlands of Colorado. The wooden frameworks make for diverse scenic framing.

Rich, warm colours and textures. I'm sure you could spend hours just shooting that with different angles and lenses.

The flume is the view. What a nice adaptation. As everyone has said colors and textures are a delight.

Good image of a good use put to what might otherwise be thought to be an old eyesore.
Angky.
