Stink Bug
Lens: Sigma 105 mm Macro Camera: K3 II Photo Location: Swan Hill Victoria
Posted By: Bruce Clark, 12-09-2021, 07:45 PM

The main advantage of the K-70 over the current K3 II would be the articulating screen. My ageing bones don't let me get low enough to the ground to use the viewfinder or liveview unless the angle is just right.

That is a highly decorated stink bug. While I don't go out of my way to find stick bugs, this one looks almost regal. Nice detailed macro capture. The intricate designs on its back are very interesting as well as its color pattern. Thanks for posting and good luck.

Great shot! Nice detail! I`ll have to take a closer look at the next Stinkbug I come across!

That’s a ton of detail there... very nice. The color is natural and I like the little fella tilting and crawling this way.

While I don't know what the local colloquial name might be, but this appears to be a Crusader bug not actually a stink bug. This is in the Coreidae family while stink bugs are in the Pentatomidae family.

Nice shot of it!

A very nice shot. I like the point of view - although the bug's eyes are a bit out of the sharp area.

While not following the usual mantra to focus on the eyes, you achieved a less common but very beautiful image of a bug.
Love the details and colors, well done.

Great looking macro! I agree with you the articulating screen would be a big plus. I take a lot of macro shots, and sometimes it is almost painful not having one. Good luck!

I really like the colours in that composition, and I get the impression he's moving or about to. Good job!
