Urban coyotes
Lens: Sigma APO 70-200/2.8 EX Camera: K5

Went for a walk in the local park this morning with the dogs, we were watched from the other side of the creek

Maybe I should rename it “if you go down to the woods today”

Nice fellows - as long as they stay on the other side of the creek.

We only saw 4 this morning.we have seen as many as 6 together and 8 overall in one night at the park. I have heard there are 2-3 one year olds, plus 6 from this years litter, and the adults

In this part of Southern Cal Coyotes are common in the desert areas but areas like Griffith Park and suburban places have them too . Once I saw a lone coyote walking on the sidewalk and when he got to an intersection he waited for the light ! Before he crossed he noticed me staring and showed me a mouth full of teeth . This one passed for a dog .
Your northern versions beautiful fur and coloring are photographed expertly and graciously posted for us to see . TFS

Thanks. I also have one posed alone, but I really liked the play shots personally

Really nice series of shots. Great colors in the snow. I guess these guys will go wherever the food supply is.
