Dubuque at night

Nice nightscape. And image quality looks very good concerning DA 50 wide open and ISO 3200.

Thank you for the kind comments from Finland. One of my good friends here is of Finnish ancestry; she moved to Iowa from the U.P. where Fins settled from the 1870s - 1920s in fairly large #s for Fins. They became miners, and mariners.

I could not eliminate the purple fringing, but it is a night photo, and it is exquisite. The image is much clearer and very clean on Flickr.

This image captures a nice night view of the city and the only fringing seems to be in distant lights. I agree with you, it is an exquisite view of the city an an excellent capture. Thanks for posting.

Thank you, but it was easy to reach this viewpoint. This scene was from atop a bluff overlooking downtown Dubuque. We took the funicular railroad.
