Intricately detailed. This can only be seen when the trees are bare. Like both images. I like the darker somber mood in the first image and, as Todd noted, the gnarly trunk in the second. Great shots.

I love the second shot. The first is also pleasing but I think it’s a low - contrast that would have been benefited from some shadow play.

I love winter tree shots like these.
For me, I like the first one the better of the two. Not to contrast with anybody, but it just hit my eyes just right when the screen painted.
