Going up, or falling down?

Looking at this photo, I had this strange feeling like I was looking down a staircase...

Very cool shot! It definitely plays a bit of a trick on the eyes if it weren't for the posters on the walls.

Could be - being underground and in the wrong hemisphere completely confused my sense of up and down?

Exactly... don't know what he was thinking.

That's a nice perspective for a photo - really makes you think twice of the directions.

I checked all objects on photo to convince my brain, very nice perspective

Glad that I got to read all the comments first. Looks like a very tall escalator. Were you underground when you started up? Nice shot.

Thanks! Yes, we were riding the escalator from the platform level to ground level at Camden Town tube station. I'm not sure how long this escalator was. The longest one on the Tube is at Angel station and is 60m long. We walked from Camden to Kings Cross along the canal. I don't think I've been to Angel station, but I do recall another escalator somewhere on the tube which was very long.
