Hooded mergansers show up here in a couple places which is a treat for those who see them . My retired biologist friend has been studying birds for over fifty-five years has never seen a female hooded merganser because they were inside hollow tree nests rearing chicks when he has been there . Some people have all the luck . Thanks C_Jones for the kind words.
