I tried my new HD DA 16-85 mm ED zoom on my Old Flour Mill shingle roof. Outstanding sharpness and contrast at 85 mm FL @ f/11, lovely warm color rendering. This is a highly desirable modern Pentax lens.

I have a Pentax 16-85 lens. I use it on my K-3 II. It is an excellent lens.

Great color and detail!
I should try mine in the APS-c mode in the K1.
Probably won't have as good a resolution as yours shows on your K3, but it's worth a try.
