Willow Sprouts Between Granite Boulders

Winter -- The buds on this little willow are almost invisible.
A couple of months more and this will be a very different image with pussy willows obscuring the boulder.
Angky.

I really like the way the stark branches contrast with the granite boulder behind them. Nice work as always Angky! Todd

I like this one very much - an optimistic photo showing that life is tenacious and warmer days are ahead.

Natural art. The bright multi colored boulder provides a canvas for the distinct branches of the willow sprouts. Good creative capture. Good eye Angky.

Hey! Good suggestion for a follow up photo!
I'll try to get back here and see if I can find this boulder again. But being in this riverbed, all bets are off if a flood comes!

You named it! Those branches being thin and stark and the boulder being broad and having such interesting texture.
Thanks!
Angky.

What you say about life being tenacious is mind reading!
I had written that in my first attempt to post it, but when the computer rebelled and I lost it, on the second attempt I left that part out.
Good reading of the image, and I thank you!
Angky.

A "canvas", yes!
It was one of those little scenes that suddenly pop right out of the landscape and are not to be passed up!
Thanks!
Angky.
