Thank you! I don't think I've heard a catbird outside Australia and I expect that ours are very different. We have two Catbird species which are related to Bowerbirds. Some think they sound like cats, but they sound like something being strangled to me.
The Wagtail has a pretty call, until some male with too much testosterone insists on calling all night.

That's great! Especially because I think you still need a lot of rain over there? The Wagtails in Canberra have been breeding a lot in the last two years - so have all the birds for that matter!
