Very Nice Todd, They look like they are weathered metal wire.

How do you like that HD DA 35mm for macro? I opted for the DFA 100 but almost got the HD DA 35mm.. Ive seen some nice images taken with it.

Thanks Al! I really like the 35 macro for its versatility. It can be used for landscapes, street photography and for macro shots like these. However, getting close-in macros like these are challenging, because the lens needs to be so close that it is almost touching the subject. In fact for these shots, the hood was touching the vines surrounding the ones in the shot. The DFA 100 would have been a better choice for these shots, but I didn't have room for it in my bag yesterday.

Nice macros. At first glance, I thought the first one was a rusty fish hook. When I was growing up, we had grape fines along a fence in the back yard. Those twisty curls are quite familiar to me. Good closeup captures. I need to try doing some of this.

Thanks Mike! This time of the year, these kinds of shots are much easier to get since the leaves have left them bare.

Thank you Angky! Winter brown tones make for good back drops to these kinds of shots.
