I think of these as winter's little blooms, providing a little bit of color to the monotone landscape.

I am definitely a lichen fan! They are so interesting and so varied in shape and color, let alone how the light can play off of them. This is a great capture - I have been looking at this image a good 5 minutes already, and would go back to it again if it were in my collection. Thanks for posting!

Good find, a glimpse of color. Now if I could just get out and find these and properly photograph them? Good image. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike! It is so much fun wandering around and finding these little gems of subjects to photograph. If only I had more time...

Nice Macro showing a lot of detail of a small plant.

Very nice shot of that lichen.
I've found them hard to shoot with a macro because of the sliver-thin DOF on a specimen that is several mm thick.
That 35mm did a very nice job capturing a good slice all the way across the "plant" to show its framework.
Angky.

I've attempted a few shots of mini-growth on branch images. Never quite caught the image as I saw it.

But this is really excellent work, Todd. Definitely a big "Like" from me.

Thanks Angky! The 35mm definitely provides for more DOF in a shot like this.
