In 2020 I had bought an old japan enduro motorbike for travels in the forest and this summer was my first season.

One day I had selected forgotten road, wich was crossed a lot of dropped trees and while I jumped on this logs disks of clutch are burned. I was able to unscrew the clutch adjustment so that it would at least partially work and I could get home. For the next three weeks, while spare parts were coming from Japan, I cycled through the woods and bought a hammock in case of an unforeseen overnight stay in the woods

Nice images. Being in the forest is one of my favorite ways to spend time.

Nice shots. Traveling through little used roads can be an adventure and tough on equipment. Would love to do it. Looking forward to more.

Nice images. The motorcycle will get you further into the woods, but it can also result in a much longer walk out if it breaks down.

Thank you! One of the conclusions that I made from the past summer is that I am always too lazy to get a SLR camera out of the luggage box. For this reason, I bought a waterproof Ricoh WG-4 at an auction and can simply put in pocket and use without taking off motogloves.

On time my ancient Toyota stranded me in very deep snow . A snow cat pulled the Toyota at least five miles through snow a meter deep . Early in the morning the snow mobile trail felt like a road I traveled in the summer . It was fortunate to have a two way radio and a nearby snow cat grooming trails .

Your well photographed story brought an old memory back .

I like the story your pictures tell.
I ride an enduro bike in the forest for a lot of my pictures too.
I mounted a saw to carry on my bike to cut the logs across the road.
Angky.

It's always good when I get to combine two of my favourite hobbyies, photography and dirtbiking. I carry my camera and lenses in a backpack camera bag.

Hello, basing on my expirience of cycling i prefer to put laggage to rear or side bags, because this unloads my back and my back has better ventilation. Also, on motobike sometimes I ride with a passanger, so backpack will interfere. Of course side bags and rear bags will interfere to jump off from the motobike if something wrong.

Hope you got a rifle there somewhere too...

Russian woods I believe have things in 'em, that want to kill you and eat you... or is eat you then kill you?

The smell of gasoline and burnt oil from a motorcycle will scare away any animal, at least in summer
