The sky's backgrounding--light to dark highlighting the tree--is a natural wispy cloud, although I did slightly darken the whole sky universally to help enhance the natural highlighting.
The image is cropped a bit, and the aperture stopped down a bit, so lens vignetting does not explain it either.
An interesting natural phenomenon.
The bit of haloing around the bush on the right is probably due to my sloppiness--trying to avoid painting the bush, but that is not the case with the tree.

Nice composition and processing. The contrast and variation in the sky due to the wispy clouds makes it look as if it emanates from the tree. The oak stands out boldly. Nice capture.

Yes, it appears to be emanating from the tree--ecstatic tree affects even the sky!
