A short respite from the cold ...
Lens: DA 55-300 mm ED Camera: Pentax K5 Photo Location: California Aperture: F11

Mid-February, Arctic cold at - 35 degrees for days on end, after two years of confinement and of missing my annual "Tour of the Southwest", an image of Death Valley rekindles the flame ... a little !

Great image Richard. Perhaps this will be the summer to revisit the Southwest.

That is very impressive!! Everything seems pin-sharp, from foreground to background, and no sign of any haze.
Amazing panorama!

Edit: after writing all that, i scrolled up to check which wide-angle prime you used. Boy, was I surprised - the 55-300mm PLM? Now this image is even more amazing!

2021 has been an "annus horribilis" for me, like the Queen of England said when Diana died. COVID confinement, U.S.-Canada Border locked-up, I almost died from a gall bladder infection ... SIGH! Let's hope 2022 will be better, indeed.

The dunes are quite far from the road, so everything seems to be in the same plane of focus. "HAZE" you say, it was 125 degrees F (52 deg C) with 6% humidity, how can you have haze ... (JK).

Best Regards
