Thanks Al - ironically they aren't common these days. I suspect that they were when they were named and before most of the forests they lived in were cleared. But they are very pretty!

Thanks Jer! I have other photos of the bird on a bitumen road where there's better contrast, but preferred a slightly more natural background.
The road is one within the botanical gardens, so there's no traffic on it, happily!
