All in a day's work ...
Camera: Pentax K1 Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA
Posted By: RICHARD L., 02-16-2022, 06:44 AM

October 10th to the 20th is usually the "APEX" of Fall colors. I first photographed the village where my mother was born (Saint Leonard de Portneuf) with my K1 mounted on a 645 FA 400 mm f/5.6 on tripod, 1/160 sec @ f/11. Then, while returning home, I stopped and photographed the parochial cemetery in my hometown (Pont-Rouge) where all my uncles are buried with the K1 and the FA 20 mm f/2.8 with a CPL, 1/50 sec @ f/8. Going from 400 mm to 20 mm makes a lot of FOV difference but the K1 shines with whatever good Pentax lens is used.

Sharp images and exceptional fall colors. A must shoot scene. Great shots.

THANKS ! The two pictures were taken about half an hour apart on an October 17th. This particular day, I set out to shoot the top picture with the 400 mm telephoto, the second wide-angle one was totally unexpected. My maternal grandfather was a cousin of the Dion family whose dark tombstone is visible on the right side of the image. There were just a few leaves left in the trees, I was lucky to get these pictures.

Regards

History in the scenes.
History of transition in the Pentax equipment.
And all of it comes out very well.
Angky.

Thank you ! Indeed these places have defined my perspective on life. Quiet countryside little towns where everybody knows everybody. And now I know I can trust my Pentax cameras and lenses to deliver awesome images.

Best Regards
