When I was young, Rod Serling's Twilight Zone was perhaps my favorite show on TV. The program was filmed in B&W, which - along with high contrast and distortion - added to the bizarre character of the stories. The other day, while playing with my DFA 15-20, I photographed a scene that reminded me of Serling: a nearly empty parking lot, a visual
non sequitur mid day during an otherwise bustling business week. Shooting at a FL of 17mm yielded distortion, and the bright sun and clouds along with some aggressive PP produced the contrast needed to give me a peek into the Twilight Zone.
