New one for me. Super detail and colors. That eye is just gleaming at you. Almost like you are there viewing it.

Thank you! What's also impressive is that there's this much detail at ISO 10000. Yes, I did use AI noise reduction in post, but the original image detail was quite acceptable - the NR mainly smoothed the background. Fortunately the bird isn't really dark, so spot exposure worked well. It doesn't work well with dark birds such as Black Swans, Ravens, Magpies etc.

The detail is so fine that I'm afraid if the model you used for this photo sees it, you will hear, in no uncertain terms, about not allowing it a tissue for it's mouth prior to the shot!
Very sharp image!
Angky.

This fine image gives me a severe compulsion to buy a K3iii ! I knew this would happen but I couldn't resist . A trip to Australia is a fantasy beyond my reach too . TFS

You're welcome! Hopefully the airfares will come down in price once entry restrictions in various countries are removed.

Thanks Todd! It was a surprisingly productive walk. I think it helped that most visitors had already left the reserve.
