Old faithful M42

Was trying a new composition. It needs tweaking a touch but has potential.

I have no frame of reference for this, but it sure does look impressive!
It is obviously something from the sky!

It's the Great Orion Nebula, M42, in the sword of Orion, below the belt.

All that I've ever seen of Orion is a sketch of a Greek(?) warrior that uses some large stars as turning points in the sketch.
This is far more than just "large stars"!!!!
This is mind boggling when I contemplate all that is up there in the heavens!
That is, if all of it looks like this!

I admire photographers like you who put the work in to create these beautiful images. My older brother produced exceptional Astrophotography photos for many years. Don't think I will ever be able to produce such images. Thank you for sharing them.

M42 is just below and to the left of the three stars of his belt. You also have Branards Loop, the withc head nebula, Casper the friendly ghost nebula, Horsehead Nebula, flame nebula and a few others that are too dim to see in this shot.

I was curious Technically, the telescope is screw mount. T2 to K so you're not far off.
