645Z images can sure be enlarged a lot !!
Lens: 645 A 55 mm f/2.8 Camera: Pentax 645Z Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/80s Aperture: F9
Posted By: RICHARD L., 03-01-2022, 06:05 PM

Original picture taken handheld with a 645 A 55 mm f/2.8 lens, 1/80 sec @ f/9. Enlargement captures only the lower part of the image, 1/4 of the original surface. I just wanted to read what was written above the Sainte Famille's Church doors : "Hic Domus Dei Est" (Here is God's House). I replaced this older 645 A lens by a 645 DFA 55 mm f/2.8, which is even sharper.

I wish I could afford one of those 645 cameras.
I have an old 6x7ML, but can't afford the film and processing for it.
Good shooting with that camera!
Angky.

That is very sharp. The crop didn't affect the sharpness. Great capture of the church.

THX !

Medium-format produces awesome images when you take your time and use the correct equipment and procedures. It sadly removes some of the "spontaneity" smaller formats permit and is better suited to "landscaping imagery".
