Around Cowansville, Quebec in October 2007.
Camera: Canon A640 Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA ISO: 100

I was at work as the Provincial Engineer in charge of restoring watercourses visiting around Cowansville, Quebec, in the Eastern Townships. A few images taken with my very first digital camera, a Canon A640, in 2007. I recovered these ancient pictures on SD cards I found buried under a ton of unused photographic gear. I post images of a mature corn cob ready for silage, of an old historical white Anglican schoolhouse, of the town's funny General Store, of a luminous path in the forest (to inspect a brook located on the right side of the picture) and of a prosperous farm near the U.S. Border. I hope you appreciate these images.

THX !

My work took me everywhere in the Province of Quebec. Over the years, I visited every region of our vast territory where there were watercourses to be restored and water quality to be improved. I even worked a little in Eastern Ontario (Embrun) and New Brunswick (Grand Falls). I took pictures of everywhere I went and used these color slides in the speeches I gave to local and regional colleages, municipal authorities, Farmer's Unions and farmers assemblies all over the Province. I even gave presentations in various universities (UQAM, McGILL, LAVAL, UVM. etc).

Regards

That first digital camera did quite well for you!
I'm glad to hear about the efforts to control and improve water quality.
Angky.

I learned a lot with this small Canon compact. It was only 10 Mpx but produced great sharpness and colors, with a very short FL 4X zoom.

Regards

P.S. Our team of 40 Regional Engineers stabilized around 600 watercourses in the 27 years I worked at MAPAQ (Ministry of Agriculture, Environmental Department).
