Not wanting to take part in any partisan postings, I only want to reflect a feeling in this image.
This is only my offering at this time of a symbol.
To explain--
I have a great deal of "feeling" about world affairs right now.
My prayers are prayed almost constantly regarding tragedy and deep hurts that many people are experiencing.
I cannot know the tangled reasons, or how to untangle them.
Yet, grief exists!
And yet, again, hope exists!
A few decades ago I was a relief coordinator in a war torn area in a remote geography.
Atrocities--senseless and meaningless atrocities proliferated, and grief and loss were palpable.
My presence there and my offerings were intended to encourage hope; otherwise I could intervene for no good thing.
Yet, I now do know that what was only "hope" at that time, eventually transformed into a much brighter reality.
One black gladiola just bloomed last night behind my shed--our first one; it is merely my effort of a symbol--
Emotions expressed.
Hope encouraged.
Please regard this symbol, and all these things, with a gentle compassion--and an intensely expressed hope.

I know so many people who have these same feelings, but so many lack the hope.
My hope fluctuates as well, but my experiences assure me that hope is there and not to be abandoned.
