Originally posted by MikeNArk Wonderful natural shot of the Camellia. Too bad there aren't many more. Great detail and texture and lovely colors were captured in your image. Very pretty against the dark green foliage and darkened background. Well done with the K-10.
Thank you, Mike!
I'm finding more and more that the "natural shot" (as you put it) seems to be what I gravitate toward for my own images.
Some moderate adjustments in post of local lighting and contrast and that appeals best to me.
The K10 is really nice for these shots, but I'm having trouble with focus. It seems to be inconsistent though.
Thanks for the note.

Thank you, Tony!
The bloom itself was so eye-caching that it seemed no image of it would fail.
Glad you liked it.

Originally posted by ToddK Another beautiful camellia image Angky! I need to do some research to find out if any varieties will grow here in Texas. I miss the camellias from my old yard...
"Sacramento, the City of Camellias," I've been told--which I think includes Folsom and Granite Bay.
Yes, I'll bet you do miss them in Texas! Hope you can find some!
This one was my Mom's, brought from Oregon when she passed on--just to try to keep a memory of her favorites for my sisters.
Thanks for your note!
