Astrotracer 3 at 450mm
Lens: DFA 150-450 Camera: K3iii Photo Location: Canberra, Australia ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F5.6

I made a quick attempt at using Astrotracer 3 tonight before the moon got too high. With the HDDA*16-50 at 16mm, I could get 120s exposures. With the DFA 150-450 at 450mm, I could get 25s.

Astrotracer 3 is looking to be a good tool. Capture is very good. What's the difference between the size of the crops of required between the two lens. Is the detail equivalent after cropping?

The DFA 150-450 ought to have 1.5x the magnification of the DA*300. As for detail, I'm not sure that this attempt shows what the bigger lens can do. It will have to wait for a darker night and location.
The DA*300 does seem to be a very good astro lens. I have given up on it for anything else, sadly.
