Black Crested Titmouse
Lens: DA* 60-250 w/HD 1.4x Teleconverter Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Boerne, TX ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F5.6

The third image is with the DA55-300 PLM. I have found that the DA*60-250 with the 1.4x teleconverter at around 20-25 feet still falls short of the reach of the 300mm PLM due to focus breathing, and the images had to be cropped. However, it still has the advantage of being a stop faster. I tried the teleconverter on the DA55-300 PLM, but at F9.5, it is very difficult shooting into the shadows of trees.

Now, this is a saucy little guy (or gal) if there ever was one. Fun shots!

Their range must not extend in Arkansas. I don't believe that I have every seen one with a black crest. The third shot is particularly nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike! Their range is primarily the western 2/3 of Texas and down into Mexico. They are pretty little birds.
