Funny how Hydraulic Excavators are always brightly colored ...

When I was working as an Engineer, sometimes I had to visit worksites to check the progression of the operations. Hydraulic Excavators are awesome machines, capable of moving surprisingly huge rocks or heavy loads of dirt. These machines are always brightly colored, probably so as to be highly visible by everyone around. The operating noise of the diesel engine activating the hydraulic pump is sufficient most of the time to know "something big is moving".

I'm in my 60's (retired Electrical/Aeronautical Engineer) but I still love watching these big diggers at work. Just like a little kid!

Thanks for posting.

The versatility of these backhoes has really been maximized by creative applications and the ability to control them with great finesse.
You got some bright colors in the sky as well as on the machines in some of those shots--very dramatic.
Angky.

THX !

I was always deeply impress by the power of these hydraulic excavators. You could destroy a typical suburban house in about 5 minutes with a large model. I saw them working on rock deposits like this was Jell-O.

Truly unstoppable machinery.
