Frangipani Leaf Bud Season In California · **2 Likes**

Went on a visit to Southern California where some Plumerias were just starting to sprout their new leaves for this year.
They don't seem to do so well in that particular place although they certainly produce beautiful blossoms.
When I got there, they were just beginning to sprout new leaves--I guess these lose all their leaves each year.
I found the leaf sprouts to be every bit as interesting as the flowers--though in a much different way!

Like the shot progression. The second image provides the great reveal and has great detailed veins. Like the colors and smooth backgrounds in both. Nice shooting.

I was glad I found one leaf opened that far so that we could see the design.
