The mountain in Spring sunshine.
Lens: DFA* 70-200 mm f/2.8 ED Camera: Pentax K3 III Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F7.1
Posted By: RICHARD L., 03-31-2022, 07:17 AM

Pictures of a mountainside not far from my home. There is still a fair amount of snow in the heights that will linger until June. There is an old abandonned house visible in the first image. K3 III + DFA* 70-200 mm f/2.8 ED lens, first image @ 70 mm FL, second image @ 130 mm FL. Very sharp and detailed rendering.

Love the contrasting deciduous and coniferous.
And the light pinkish cast to the deciduous as they start responding to the sunshine.

It was the first time I mounted the DFA* 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens on the K3 III. I think it won't be the last ... Although this lens is HEAVY as hell.

You'll need to beef up your arms to mount it again a few times--beautiful work it does!

Ha Ha ! I lifted weights all my life. I'm 5'10" and close to 300 pounds, very muscular, not a fatso. My recent health scare has left me weaker than before but I'm coming back. My Doctor told me 9 out of 10 people would have died with the Liver infection I had and that I survived only because "I was built like a bull" (his exact words). This lens is terribly heavy and unwieldy to use handheld, almost like my 645 FA* 300 mm f/4 telephoto for my 645Z.

Regards
