A juvenile bald eagle sits atop the decaying carcass of a Steller's sea-lion, that was killed by Bigg's Killer Whales (Orca) two weeks ago. Malcolm Island, BC, Canada.

I'd like to thank you for linking this article about Bigg's killer whales. It is a very interesting and informative about studies identifying this distinct species of killer whales. Very significant research.

Great image. The juvenile eagle is certainly expressing its displeasure at an unseen foe.
