Grand Canyon, South Rim in all its glory
Lens: DA 16-45 mm f/4 AL Camera: Pentax K3 Photo Location: Arizona ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/50s Aperture: F11
Posted By: RICHARD L., 04-04-2022, 11:18 AM

Magnificent view of the Grand Canyon from Desert View viewpoint. Pentax K3 + DA 16-45 mm f/4 AL + CPL. The K3 body has provisions for correcting the Color Fringing problem of this older zoom lens, revealing its excellent sharpness, contrast and colors. The picture was taken at 24 mm FL and f/11.

oooooooooooooooh......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

I really couldn't find anything better to say. The range of colours is superb, from the deep blues in the sky fading to lighter tones and all the colours in the canyons itself. Excellent framing too.

I'm simply digging my "forgotten images" in my digital Archives. I'm surprised myself in what I find sometimes. And these are only the latest digital images (from 2007 to now), you should see my 1 million negatives accumulated over 50 years !

Regards

I have the 16-45 & the K3ll. How does the camera adapt?
Thanks

Check the MENU on the back of the camera and select "Lens correction" (Lateral Chromatic Aberrations).

Is this a setting that will affect all photos you take, or only those saved as JPG and thus processed in camera?

Only the JPEG. But in case you use DCU for raw processing, it replicates the camera settings, which are recorded in the raw files.
