Brown Thrasher and a Relative
Lens: Sigma 135-400 APO Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Conway, AR ISO: 250 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

Spotted a couple of Brown Thrashers in the yard gathering nesting materials, and on a walk later, saw a Mocking Bird on the power lines. Thanks for viewing (Shutter Speed actually 1/400).

Lookin' good, Mike! I don't remember ever seeing the bird in your first two shots - cute little guy or gal.

Really nice shots Mike! I really like that second shot of the Brown Thrasher. I looked it up, and it looks like they don't reside in my part of Texas. Beautiful bird.

Thanks Jer. Looks like their range is mostly east of Texas, although the map does show a wintering range in east Texas. Probably not the birding time.

Thank you Todd. Even though they are here, it is sometimes difficult to get good shots. They seem to like thickets and underbrush. It does look like you are too far west and south for their area.
