The temp was close to 75. Not sure what the woodpecker was doing. He had just exited from his hole in the cactus. In the next frame, he’s back to normal.

That's interesting behavior. Could be airing out instead of warming up. That second shot is very nice also.

The mesquite gives a very good ambiance for the bird.
And the detail in all of it makes it all work.
