Andrew Carnegie may have been a robber baron but he was also a Robin Hood who gave his wealth back to the people in the United States through libraries all over this country. A sign above the former main entrance to the Manchester, Iowa Public Library. This is a town of just 5,000 people and there are dozens and dozens of Carnegie libraries in this tiny state of Iowa.
