I did two short walks at Tidbinbilla Nature reserve; one around Turkey Hill, and the other around the Sanctuary. The birds are all wild. Only the turtles and Bandicoots are kept in (and protected by) the electric fence.

A very nice series. I particularly like that first Eastern Yellow Robin shot. It has real character,

Thanks! It's a great place to see birds and furry animals, as well as some reptiles (although it's late in the season for the latter - I was surprised to see the turtles swimming around).

Thank you! Character is a word I use a lot when describing Yellow Robins. They love to land on the side of a tree like that when someone enters their territory, just to check them out. In this case however, several Robins were chasing each other for the chance to eat the most ants, which had chosen that day to fly in search of a new home.

I immediately thought the second shot--the first easter yellow robin--was quite special when it popped up on my screen.
Then I saw what PJ1 said about its "character", and I totally agree.
I also like the nesting swans presentation of "attitude"!
Angky.

Thanks! The Black Swans were being a bit defensive since they had a clutch of eggs.
