A lot of the goose families here are doing like that--momma up front, gosslings following momma, and then the one who sticks out his neck to make sure things are understood follows at the rear--unless he sees something up front that needs his long, hissing neck!

Yes, a big family here. Several of the families have only two little ones--I think predators have taken out the others.

I was glad that I caught it in time.
They were just about ready to get into water clear of algae where it would be a very different image.
(But I do wish they didn't have all that algae coming from our ways of doing things to nature.)
