Nature's Abstract In Snow Sculpture
Lens: HD Pentax DA 16-85mm Camera: K-70 Photo Location: High Sierra Nevada Mtns ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/1500s Aperture: F11

Just a simple winterized still leafless stem--willow, I think--at around 7000 feet elevation with snow starting to lose its winter's grip.
Sun caught it just right as I came along, and I saw it accidentally as I was photographing another scene.

Standing alone. I like the shaded background contrast with the remaining snow. Interesting composition.

Yes, the melting had just started, little rivulets running beneath the snow.
I was glad I got to be there when I did.

I'm glad you like it.
The shaded background, rather than being totally dark, had some reflected light to make it intriguing.

Yes! A stick and a snowbank--minimalism!
That's what I was trying for; I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for the note.
Angky
