I have to say I'm really pleased with the 150-450. I bought it for wildlife, but I'm finding it works very well for closeups as well.

It's nice to have a lens that's versatile. No need for the macro on these shots. All have good detail and colors. What is the minimum distance for shooting with the lens? What type of squirrel is thst?

2 meters is the minimum distance. I can tell it isn’t as sharp as the 100mm macro, but I also don’t have to get as close so it doesn’t scare off the butterflies. I believe it’s an Abert’s squirrel. They’re kind of interesting looking. I don’t remember seeing as many in previous trips.
