Good evening,
Last 30th of April I was lucky enough to be able to take part of the Monaco E-Prix race held in the streets of Montecarlo.
Let me share some images I like from that hectic day. Free Practice started at 7.30AM and race was at 3PM.
I had to wake up 4.45AM to shower, pick a train and be in Montecarlo. I think I walked around 30kms that day but it was well worthy.
That is Sam Bird in his Jaguar Racing at the Pool Chicane in free practice
Sergio Sete Camara in the Dragon/Penske car
Let's get aerial, shall we?
This is Race winner Stoffel Vandoorne in his Mercedes EQ
Did you knew there are Palm Trees in Montecarlo? While Pascal Wehrlein passes by in his Porsche
Same driver attacking the Pool Chicane corner (same spot as picture 1)
Guardrails are so close to action,
The world famous tunnel, but in this case no sound was produced (or almost none was produced)
This is 2nd place Mitch Evans in his Jaguar in Mirabeau Aute dowhilling from Casino Square
And talking about Casino Square, here Dan Ticktum in his Nio333 in Casino Square
So, Formula E cars are basically all the same, but manofacturers have some hand in their engines, so that make it a very close racing and battles are all over the place. Here at the exit of the tunnel, during race day (at the end of the race) two cars fighting very hard
And some more aerial and close to us shots
André Lotterer several times Le Mans 24hs winner in his Porsche before the entry of the Tunnel
Here Frijns in his Envision Racing before the tunnel chicane braking too hard
And last picture is an iconic one, the Monaco Firemen helmet reflection
Sorry for so many images xD
All of them were taken with Pentax K3-II and K3 Silver and the following lenses: Sigma 17-50mm f2.8, Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8* and a few with a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8
Hope you like them.
