Thank you ! On each of my trips West, I always spent at least 5 days camping in Grand Canyon Nat'l Park (specifically Desert View in the Eastern part of the Park). I get up early (easy for someone coming from the East and used to Eastern Daylight Time) and contemplate the Canyon in 3 or 4 viewpoints at sunrise. I spend my day exploring the Park along Route 64, eating at Grand Canyon General Store or driving to restaurants in Tusayan, taking the bus to tour the Western viewpoints no longer accessible by private car, etc. I visit the same viewpoints near sunset again to admire the changing light and rest in the campground during the evening. Almost like a pilgrimage in a sacred sanctuary. Regards |
