Mad Max was a great shot! My monitor is not calibrated here at work, so I know I'm missing the details. I'll look at this again at home

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks.

Scooter was the Tamron 18-200, Mia was my new Sigma and Max was my kit lens with a Hoya +4 filter. That would make up my "macro" lens for now since I just got the Sigma.

Great pictures! Sometimes it can be hard to get the detail on a black cat or dog, but you did a good job with Mad Max. I love the attitude of Sir Scooter, and Miss Mia looks like she's getting ready for the hunt. The mice don't stand a chance with your crew!

Thank you ma'am! No, they, nor the lizards, snakes, bugs or small birds that happen to get sloppy ....... well, you get the picture!!

Well, they don't stand a chance with Max or Mia. Scooter is about 10 years old and just "runs things" around the house. Our 2 labs even "listen" to him!

Thanks for the comments!

Love Mad Max! Great capture! Any mouse that sees that picture won't stop running until he's in another area code. Miss Mia looks like she's on the job, mousies beware, Sir Scooter on the other hand...

You have done a great job capturing them. For some reason my cats, indoor and out, won't give me a good pose so if I sneek on them they in turn come to get in my face so it is a running focus job just to capture them before they get inside the range of the lense. Nice an sharp and Black Max is a definite wall hanger.

Great shots...I like the twinkle in Mad Max's eye, very nice. Sir Scooter looks like she may be sleeping on the job!

I have a question for you though, I am just getting into all the photography and PP stuff and there are many things I see that I would like to learn how to do...For instance how do you get the borders around your photos and your name on the border like that? I currently am trialing lightroom as my photo editing software, I do not have Photoshop, can I get this effect with lightroom? What are my options to be able to do this?

Take care.

Thanks all for the comments. Those out there that know me, have seen my posts of our yellow and black labs so, I thought it only fitting to post the other, "working" half of the force. I've got another of Max that I got today laying on the ground with him and will get it posted tonight in another thread. I'll also dump a few zinnia shots I got.

Thanks again for all of the encouraging comments!

S. Barker - I'll PM you either later tongiht or tomorrow from work. Much faster connection there. By no means an expert but I might be able to help you out with some of the steps that I use Elements 5.0 which is an AWESOME program. Has many of the same features as it's big brother CS2 but for about 1/13th the price now. I've seen elements 5.0 for $49.99 in the Sunday paper.
