What are these Snakes up to?
Lens: Sigma 170-500 DG Camera: Pentax K-5IIs Photo Location: Hendrix Nature Preserve ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F6.3

Saw this pair of water snakes at the nature preserve mating? Also saw a few others soaking up some sunshine.

Thanks for commenting. Not really that unusual in creek beds around this area. The good thing about these snakes is that they are all non poisonous.

Very well-captured images. Detail of the snakes skins is interesting.
The fact of them producing more snakes, however, is not so interesting!

Thanks Angky. As you can see, I need to find more to shoot. If I hadn't caught the snakes mating, I might have passed them by. I have taken some more pictures of the young Brown Thrashers that are being raised in my yard. They have been fun to watch. I'll try to post some soon.
