10 days in Tel Aviv and at the Dead Sea
Lens: Various - see post Camera: KP
Posted By: newmikey, 05-22-2022, 10:23 AM

I had the KP with me with a spread of quality glass. Typically I would take the DA16-85 and the 55-300PLM with me on a trip just because they are such versatile and lightweight lenses with more than decent results. But this time I wanted to cover between 8mm extreme wide and 190mm medium-tele in a different way.

My far too heavy bag contained (beside the laptop, chargers, cables etc.) the KP and:
  • The Sigma 8-16mm for extreme wide shots of architecture as well as nature
  • The Irix 30mm with a good CPL (because of the blue skies and bright sunshine) as high-IQ street and nature walk-around
  • The DA*50-135 (sometimes paired with the Pentax HD 1.4x converter) for potential wildlife as well as architectural details

Below is a sample of the results - excuse the number of images - I'd appreciate any feedback

Looks like you made excellent use of all the lens that you took on this trip. A great series of very nice images of the beautiful sites that you visited. Everything you captured, landscapes, buildings, city scenes, and night scenes are all nicely captured and processed.
