Wild Foal at Black Canyon Lake · **2 Likes**

I spent a long weekend up at Black Canyon Lake. It was a little disappointing as the lake is half the size of last year and it was extremely windy. The winds were hitting 50mph on Friday. They used a lot of the water to fight some fires and it hasn't recovered so no kayaking that lake. I went to a few other lakes in the area and will post some shots from those in another thread.

What a beautiful creature - I didn't know such animals would be wild in this day and age. Really nice series.

Great shots of the foal despite the conditions. It a shame that the lake was that low. In your area, it could take quite some time to recover. Wild fires are becoming a bigger problem each year.

There's actually a pretty large population of wild horses in a few areas in Arizona. Thank you

Yeah, changing plans for the summer. I had 2 more trips planned to that lake and I'm going to go elsewhere. Thank you
