On Friday we took Connie's BMW X3 in for its annual service. While there, I noticed that the showroom contained a BMW M4 GTS - a special, track-focused car produced in 2016. Only 700 of the cars were manufactured, 300 of which came to these shores; consequently, it's no surprise I hadn't seen one previously. The car is lighter than the mainstream M4 of that generation, has a completely bespoke suspension, a number of carbon fiber composite pieces, and a water-injected version of the S-55 twin turbo mill that produces 493 HP and 443 lb-ft of torque (compared with 425 HP and 406 lb-ft for the S-55 in a base model M3 or M4 of that era). Anyway, here are some snapshots of the GTS; for comparison, I've included a pic taken some years ago of my 2015 base model M4, which I owned from late November 2014 to May of 2018.
