Bald Eagle Day at the Lake
Lens: Pentax D FA 150-450mm Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Dogtown Lake, AZ
Posted By: phx.david, 06-02-2022, 11:02 AM

Got to spend 4 hours out in the kayak this morning. The bald eagles and blue herons were around. Here's some of the bald eagle shots. The last 2 were of the same eagle, I used the 1.4x Pentax teleconverter on the last one. The color has not been enhanced. I think it was just an effect from early in the morning. I think I might actually pull some of the color out when I look at them on my normal monitor.

Wow! Those are all superb shots of the Bald Eagle. Looks like the teleconverter performed well with the 150-450. Detail and colors are good in all images. Looking forward to more shots. Enjoy you time there.

I was pleased with how it performed. Since the eagle wasn't moving, I figured it would be a good chance to test. Thank you. I'm enjoying every minute. Right now it's a steak and some beer to end a good day.

Thanks Jer.

What a difference a monitor makes. On my laptop, they looked really oversaturated. On the monitor I connect to the laptop at home, they look pretty good. The color is still really vibrant, but nowhere near as saturated.
