Blue Herons and a Duck
Lens: Pentax D FA 150-450mm Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Dogtown Lake, AZ

Last trip to this lake there were no blue herons. This trip, they were in abundance. I caught the duck taking off.

Nice shots of the Great Blue Heron. Really like the launch images and in flight shots. All of the shots are good in variable lighting and the in-flight duck duck has great colors and detail. A good days shooting.

It was a good enough day that I'm going to head to a wildlife area and try once again to get some good elk shots. They're always there, but almost always across a meadow. Going to try getting there before dawn and setting up. Thank you

Good luck. There is a place in Fayetteville, Arkansas were you can see them below and overlook grazing. If you go down to try getting any closer shots, you can't find one.
