The lighting and composition really make this image. It has good detail also. Good work, Tony.

Thank you very much. This is my first effort in a studio like setting. Mistakes of course, but I feel it turned out to be an interesting viewing.

This is a very nice floral image Tony. I really like the way you illuminated the flower against the dark background. Nicely done!

Thanks a bunch there, ToddK. The lighting is not what I had pre-visualized, being I had only lights in my living room to work with. I might just go ahead and next time use

the Canon Speedlight to see what I can accomplish. What I do like is the Wine/Burgundy colored backdrop I used which of course absorbed a lot of the light in the room,

but overall it added a lot to the color scheme.
