Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies in the Mimosa Tree
Lens: Sigma 135-400 APO Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Yard ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

Some butterflies have finally arrived just as our Mimosa Tree has bloomed. Took way too many shots. Here are a few.

I would want to shoot a lot of such images too.

Nice! Some of my favorite butterfly shots were taken with my DA*300. I see that you shot these at a whopping 400mm!

Thank you Angky. I like the combination of the butterflies with the Mimosa blooms and usually shoot too many. If the rain will settle down here, I try to get some hummingbird shots on these blooms.

Thank you for commenting. I use the Sigma 135-400 on the KP for a couple of reasons. It seems to give slightly better images than some of my other zoom lens and the butterflies might not be very close to you on this tree.
